This presentation was delivered at the OAUG Collaborate 07 Conference by Neeraj Garg, who was Oracle's chief architect for Release 11.5.10 M. In this session attendees learned how to use user-defined attributes (UDAs) in Oracle Projects applications. UDAs are similar to DFFs, but much more powerful in four major ways. You can use an unlimited number of UDAs; You can have many records of data associated to a single entity as opposed to only one record; They can be setup in Oracle Projects to look and feel like a standard setup option for the project; and UDAs provide for a function accessed via a link or a button that can be used to call any validation/processing logic needed. This presentation provided some real life examples of how UDAs can be used to implement custom functions for Oracle Project Management. You can register and download this presentation here.
