Project Partners, LLC developed OP3 to specifically address the integration needs of customers requiring a quick and easy-to-deploy interface between Primavera scheduling software and Oracle’s project accounting system.

“Oracle Projects provides us with exceptional accounting, costing and billing functionality, but it lacks the activity and resource scheduling capabilities we require to effectively manage our many projects. By using OP3 to link Oracle Projects and Primavera Enterprise, we are able to quickly transfer information back and forth between applications. This provides us with reliable and accurate data in both systems without the cost of double data entry,” said Arthur Martin, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. “As a result of this integration, we will increase the visibility of projects throughout our organization and will improve our ability to effectively and efficiently manage large projects.”

“Project creation is simplified using Oracle Projects’ templates and business rules. Activity and resource scheduling can be performed by the project manager within Primavera Enterprise and then linked to the project in Oracle Projects via OP3,” said Randy Egger, President and Founder of Project Partners. “The project manager can also download actuals and commitment data from Oracle Projects to Primavera Enterprise to provide an accurate and updated position of the project. This information helps the project manager to comply with budgets and efficiently utilize and allocate resources.”

“Our customers want to maximize the use of their applications,” said John Garay, Alliance Manager for Primavera. “The pre-built OP3 interface provides project and financial managers with an easy way to improve communication and eliminate islands of information.”

-MORE-

To learn more about the OP3 interface, visit Primavera (booth # 328) and Project Partners

(booth # 326) at the 2003 Oracle AppsWorld conference, January 19 to 22 in San Diego, California.

About OP3

OP3 enables companies to deploy a best-of-breed solution between Primavera project management software and Oracle financial systems. Accurate project data is transferred from Primavera Enterprise, Primavera TeamPlay® and Primavera P3e/cM for Construction into Oracle Projects. As project costs are incurred, data is downloaded from Oracle Projects, facilitating earned value reporting. The shared data repository provides project and financial managers with timely and accurate information to reduce project cost overruns and improve resource scheduling.

About Project Partners, LLC

Headquartered in Half Moon Bay, California, and founded in 1997 by Randy Egger, former Chief Architect of Oracle Projects (Project Accounting), Project Partners, LLC was formed in response to the growing needs of companies as they shift their operations towards a project orientation.
