Project Partners congratulates Oracle on its recent acquisition of Primavera! While this is big news in the Project Portfolio Management world in general, it's especially exciting to us at Project Partners.

Back in 1996, while at Oracle, Randy Egger (who was chief architect for the Oracle E-Business Suite Projects Applications) and Kimberly McDonald Baker (who was senior product director) hand-picked Primavera as a premier Oracle partner, and worked alongside Dick Faris, Joel Koppelman, Mike Sicilia and John Garay of Primavera to develop bi-directional integration between Oracle Projects and Primavera applications, producing the world’s first Enterprise Lifecycle Project Management solution. After Randy Egger left Oracle to found Project Partners and Oracle and Primavera discontinued support for the integration between their systems, Project Partners stepped in. We had maintained relationships with Primavera and Oracle and were well positioned to develop OP3, a product that delivered the desired bi-directional integration between the systems.
