Oracle Industry Connect was a valuable conference for attendees from various industries, including most project-centric industries. One of the most interesting sessions was the Keynote for the Primavera track. The session started with a customer case study delivered by Alberto Matucci of GE Oil and Gas. “Alberto and his team have been at the forefront of pushing the limits of the Primavera products. They have an amazing vision… about transparency and innovation,” said Mike Sicilia, SVP and General Manager of the Primavera Global Business Unit.

Alberto Matucci is the General Manager, Operations for GE. He holds an MS in electronic engineering from the University of Florence and has a long history in engineering and project management. In 2006 Alberto became general manager of operations for GE’s Turbomachinery Division, responsible for project management and execution for this $3.8B Oil & Gas business. In 2013 he was promoted to lead the Global Projects organization, with overall responsibility for project management for GE Oil & Gas, reporting to the CEO. In January 2014, he also became responsible for the quality of Oil & Gas.
