Why a World-Class Engineering and Design Firm Uses Oracle E-Business Suite and Project Partners Applications

Randy Martin, CPA, Director Project Management Systems, Atkins North America; and Peter Budelov, Associate Vice President, Project Partners

Atkins is one of the world's leading engineering and design consultancies, employing some 17,420 people across the UK, North America, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe. It has the breadth and depth of expertise to plan, design and enable some of the world's most technically challenging and time critical infrastructure projects. In 2006, Atkins North America migrated to the Oracle E-Business Suite Projects applications because Atkins needed an ERP system that could grow with the company and handle the increasing demands for a robust Project management system. In addition to needing broader and deeper functionality to support growth, usability was a key concern. Project Managers needed simple user interface tools to manage their projects. Atkins selected Project Partners to implement the Oracle Projects suite and now enjoys a comprehensive solution that handles the growth and diversification of its business. To enhance usability, Atkins uses Project Partners User Interface applications to provide a simple user interface layer to enable users to easily maintain tasks, budgets and earned value metrics. Atkins also uses Project Partners’ smartphone timecard application, to speed up time entry. Attend this webinar and learn how Atkin’s use of these applications has provided the infrastructure needed to free up Atkins employees’ time to focus on their customers and grow their business.
