A large utility company uses customization to automatically create and manage over 25,000 work orders within P6 using P6 EPPM events and integration. Resources are programmatically assigned to activities based on type of work and location to ensure that customer work orders are delivered in a timely manner. With the P6 EPPM resource management module, construction coordinators also have greater visibility to the work order pipeline and capacity demand management to ensure increased efficiencies in crew assignments.

Session # 111350: Case Study: Public Sector Primavera P6 Database Consolidation and Migration to the Oracle Cloud

Learn how P6 EPPM Cloud was implemented for a large public sector agency and the benefits that resulted from this project. In less than 3 months, over 100 'standalone' P6 databases were migrated to a single P6 EPPM cloud installation. Working with the Oracle Cloud team, we successfully configured and migrated the systems and trained the P6 users in this statewide organization. This migration to the Cloud has decreased the IT staff support requirements and provided easy access and visibility to project schedules.
