BioMarin, a provider of innovative therapeutics to patients with unmet medical needs, was looking for expert guidance to assess their current environment. BioMarin's Technology Operations Group (TOPS) and others utilize Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Management (P6 EPPM) to manage organizational projects. The company needed of a configurable, commercial, out-of-the-box project portfolio management (PPM) solution that would enable increased visibility to resource capacity and help plan for drug program execution based on the supply and demand of resources.
Solution:
Project Partners senior consultants conducted an on-site, comprehensive assessment of their existing P6 EPPM environment. Expert, senior consultants used the Project Partners standard assessment approach to conduct interviews with TOPS P6 EPPM project stakeholders and management sponsors and review the existing production instance to make sure a clear understanding of the current and future state for the solution.
To address all major business objectives, Project Partners delivered a custom design roadmap and resource management implementation proposal to transition BioMarin to a newer version of P6 EPPM resource management for planning and analysis.
